Behind the campaign

In June 2024, the pension fund ATP invested a single-digit billion sum of DKK in the Danish arms company Terma, thereby becoming an official co-owner of the company with a representative on the board of directors. Terma manufactures parts for the F-35 fighter jets that Israel uses to bomb Gaza. ATP is hereby investing directly in genocide. At the same time, all workers in Denmark are legally obliged to pay monthly contributions to ATP. These payments are made automatically, and the money that is being deducted from our wages each month, are now used to support genocide through ATP's investment in Terma.

We do not want to be part of this. ATP's investment in Terma enables genocide and is thus an attack on the Palestinian people. But it is also an attack on us. As ordinary people and workers in Denmark, we do not want our wages being used to support genocide, the murder of an thousands of people, to destroy schools, homes and hospitals, contributing to the general destruction of the planet.

We do not want to be part of a system where some people get rich by producing weapons for genocide, and we believe that we are the many against the few. We want to stand firm in our solidarity with the Palestinian people and refuse to let Danish institutions and companies make money by investing our money in genocide.

The leaders of the major trade unions sit on ATP's board of directors. These leaders have failed us by accepting ATP's investment in Terma – an investment that we have involuntarily paid for. When union leaders allow ATP to invest in Terma and thus choose to support genocide with money that comes directly from our work and wages, they are no longer our leaders.

ATP's contribution to Terma is not made in our name, and we will do everything we can to put a stop to it.
